WanderResearch:

WanderResearch supports your organization in managing metadata around the research process. You can easily register research output, researchers, research groups, projects and funders.

For Flemish research institutions, WanderResearch goes one step further and follows the CERIF FRIS model. The FRIS classifications and business rules are integrated into the software. You can exchange data with FRIS (Flemish Research Information Space) yourself, or together with the Wander team. We ensure that everything is delivered in a timely and correct manner.

Certainty in descriptions

WanderResearch supports authorities for entities such as people, organizations, subject classifications (VODS) and thesaurus terms. Also Persistent Identifiers such as ORCID, DOI, Handle and ROR are supported.

This way, your database remains consistent and reliable.

Smart description, according to your needs

With the description module from WanderResearch, you describe scientific output from articles to datasets, monographs and dissertations in accordance with international standards and agreements in the field of scholarly communication and current research information systems (CRIS).

Interoperability with other initiatives is ensured through the OAI-PMH protocol with which data is shared in various formats.

Smart communication, from researcher coordination to researcher

With the helpdesk and info desk from WanderResearch, you can effortlessly streamline communication. The helpdesk connects your coordination team with the Wander team, while the info desk forms the bridge between your research coordinators and researchers. Both work in the same intuitive way: questions come in via a form or email, are automatically registered and managed centrally. The administrator can follow up, reply or forward each message to a colleague. Meanwhile, the sender is automatically informed about the status of their request.

Importing and exporting data, simple and flexible

With WanderResearch, managing research data is a lot easier. Whether you work at a research institution or are working as an individual researcher: with WanderResearch, you can effortlessly export data in different formats such as FWO, RIS, BibTEex, or popular citation styles such as APA, MLA, Vancouver, and Chicago.

Registering research output is semi-automatic via API integration with various scientific databases (crossref, pubmed, web of science,...)

All registrations follow internationally recognized metadata models. And yes, there is sufficient storage capacity to store and/or share linked files in an Open Science environment.

Repository search, your way

Through the repository WanderResearch makes your institution's research output searchable by author, faculty, research group and project. The repository offers various search options: simple search, advanced search, browsing, and faceted filtering. You can create a save list and keep track of your search history.

My Bibliography: your researchers, their own digital space

With My Bibliography give your researchers a personal online environment. Via their own login, they can:

  • view and modify their account;
  • view their publications;
  • check the processing status of their publication;
  • automatically transfer their registered research output to ORCID (*).

Everything simple, safe and user-friendly. Exactly how they expect it.

(*) For integrations with external applications, you must obtain user licenses with the providers.
